A Promise....

This post is short... and sweet.... but, worth sharing so that you know Doc and myself a little better.

We got married on Saturday, June 5, 2010 (on the hottest day in America.... literally it made the news as the hottest place in Texas that day). You should ask our friends how hot they were that day, hahahahahahaha! I laugh so hard because I was madly in love and well, I didn't fully realize how hot it actually was, but pictures of all my friends...... looks like we had a water park for our reception. 

You see, when Doc and I started dating we were in a long-distance relationship. We both lived in the state of Texas but it was a LONGGGGGG drive to see each other (roughly 7 hrs). So, we talked on the phone.... a lot! One promise we made to each other when we were engaged was that we would go on vacation EVERY SINGLE YEAR. We promised that it didn't need to be fancy, out of the country, long, or picture-worthy, just a vacation to get away from the real world. Below is the first fly-fishing trip Doc took me on, to Pecos, NM..... let's just say it was an adventure. That is also Doc Whiskers...... pre Whiskers!

Here we are, celebrating 8 years of marriage and Doc Whiskers...
